We’ve had a couple of positive designed QB sweeps this season, one for a TD in the OM game. That’s a great play for him. He tends to dance around before committing and getting upfield. On the designed runs, he’s moving full speed to the point of attack.
This is a good way to get him going and comfortable. It can also make defense respect that we will hit them with a play where they may be outnumbered in the box. That and a couple of well-executed RPOs can really slow those LBs and Safeties down and get them thinking. That would give Leavitt more time to pass with less immediate pressure.

I'm just over here laughing because as long as I've been reading this board it's either:
1. Pocket passers suck we need a running quarterback
Or
2. He runs too much why not go through the progressions and move the ball down field.
Or
3. The backup is better
