Grandma Burrow was also a star athlete. Per Guilbeau:

quote:

The 5-foot-10 former Dot Ford, who played forward in six-girl prep basketball with three players on each side of the court, scored 82 points in an 88-39 win over Caldonia in February of 1950.

"I wish there was some film of that one," Joe Burrow said.

She averaged 49 points on the season over 30 games for 1,485 points, and yes, they filled up the Amory armory that season like Elvis would later.

Just for argument's sake, my dad would knock Jim Burrow's block off.
