Yeah we'll be more one-dimensional with Lee. Yay.

yea this makes perfect sense

I realize it seems counter, but it actually makes sense. I've never been overly impressed with Lee's passing ability. He shows signs, but he has been given chances and I'm left equally unimpressed. The only thing that ever fully set the two players apart IMO was JJ's ability to run the football. He's improved in that facet. Now, hopefully Lee can prove to be a better passer and we're not one-dimensional. But we're a very vanilla offense with Lee and it isn't going to be too difficult to scheme against him. His inability to get out of the pocket, in a strange way, makes us more of a I-formation team, which I think is a problem.

this has to do with LSU...not Les Miles

btw...i think we'll be just as good if not better with Lee. The only issue is his lack of running ability

4 TDs 9 INts 8 fumbles and you're in here arguing to the death over how we're all gonna die now without him. I'm just trying to help you realize that life may actually go on without Michael Henig Version 2.0.

Where did I say that it was the death of us? frick, no wonder you suck as a poster you can't read for shite. I simply said that we'll lose something without having a guy that can run, because at the end of the day Lee isn't exactly showing me he can light the world on fire passing the ball.

do you realize how much better we are at that one dimension? we don't need JJ running when we have a QB who can complete a pass longer than 7 yards.

Wait so you're saying lee and JJ are a wash when it comes to throwing to ball? You've got to be kidding me.

This is my problem. Neither JJ nor Lee are consistent passing the football. Both show flashes, but never consistency. So it's not the fact that he's a pocket passer that bothers me as much as the fact that he's an erratic, inconsistent pocket passer. If he can change that, we'll be fine and we don't be one-dimensional. But if he continues to be erratic, losing a running quarterback will only make us worse offensive, despite what the overall numbers may say yardage wise.

Sorry but losing your starting QB who you invested a ton of time in never really helps at all.

That said I think Lee can take us to Atlanta!

I'm saying both are inconsistent to the point that I don't have confidence in either throwing the ball, but at least one could run somewhat effectively at times.

b...b...but he has improved so much during the spring and the summer! he's even in Heisman contention! *sarcasm*

for the first time ever, and probably the only time, I agree with you.

As someone posted earlier. Even in his worst year, Lee and the Tigers had 20 TO's in 2008. LSU had 24 last season in the same number of games. The difference was the defenses LSU had.

JJ had 10 INTs and 8 fumbles last season with the coaches calling the game every way they could to minimize them. In 2008 Lee had 16 INTs with the offense being completely open and Crwoton acting like Lee was a 5th year senior.

Just because Lee as a Freshman had 16 turnovers, doesn't mean JJ as a JR and 2nd year full time starter having 18 was somehow better for the offense.

Furthermore, the offense will change to fit the QB. That is what we hope the coaches would do, but most of you JJ nuthuggers and Lee haters have simply just said, "He was a failure, and even though he improved, he's still crap and we are doomed".

No - we are losing our Miles chosen leader who was going to have a Jason Campbell Senior season.

we'll still spread the field with Lee in the game, but I think we were on our way to being more of an I-form team anyway.

oh, and I like that Lee brings better short passing ability. he should get the ball out to the playmakers accurately in space and let em do something with it.

so improving the yardage per game on offense can be a bad thing because we don't have a running qb?

So how many more games do you see us losing without the awesome rushing threat of JJ?
