So your saying field goals shouldn't be credited to the Qb that drove them down the field since he's not actually on the field?
OH jeez.
Forget it.
You are right, Jarrett Lee scored 4 TDs Saturday.

The myth is that Lee has been some superstar that Les has held down and if we had only been playing him all along this offense would have been amazing.
The evidence is there that this is certainly a possibilty. I think few if any are billing Lee as a superstar. Many are thrilled to see some life in the offense he has brought. People are happy for a guy who stuck with the program when he faced more hate than any LSU player in memory and appears to be redeeming himself and somehow, this bothers you immensely.

Highest completion percentage of any QB in the SEC says he's been pretty damn good when called upon.
He played great against Florida.
He played great for one drive against Tennessee.
His sample size of throwing limits how much we can determine, but I like what I see and want to see more.

At first it was JL is a turnover machine....
Then it was JL isn't ready mentally.....
Then it was JL plays better from the bench (still in use)....
Now its JJ is scoring td's......
What you have here are the JJ cheerleaders trying to come to grips with the fact their choice for a starter just didn't pan out. We were told he was winning despite abysmal numbers at the beginning of the season.
JL comes in and the offense begins to move. Guess what, they want to give some of that credit to JJ. Shocking I know...but not unheard of when dealing with a situation where people have invested themselves into what side won, rather than the LSU tigers.
Oh well, they can cry all night:
JL is driving the tema to TD's
JL is running the 2 minute drill and winning games
JL is showing amazing touch and getting the ball to our playmakers
JL isn't the turnover liability that JJ is.

Lee doesn't bother me at all.
People starting threads like this:
LINK
are what bothers me.
The guy has 36 pass attempts on the season... let's wait a bit before we crown him king.

What's astounding to me is that you read on a 2nd grade level.

Lee has has played roughly one game and its pretty damn good. No doubt he will play worse at some point of the season. There will always be a place in the offense for JJ, just not as a pocket passer, which he is not.

I can only read at the level you write.
Maybe if you were a better writer I'd be able to use more of my reading comprehension skills.
Alas, you and your5 writing limit such progress.
(PSA: in the future if you want to rip on someone, at least do it so you don't look like the fool

:sigh:
I give up with you.
I've stated at least 5 times in this thread that Lee played better, should be the starter and the offense is better with him. Yet YOU STILL are accusing me of being a "JJ defender" and all this meaningless stupid bullshite.
All I've said is that JJ has his place.

Barely.
ETA: THIS is where you fricked up:
quote:
Vs. Tennessee, despite some misconceptions, the offense actually functioned better while JJ was in at QB. More yards per play, better rushing etc.
If this was truly the case with all offenses, there would be no reason to scout players for recruiting.

How?
We had more yards.
More yards per play when JJ was in there.

For this team, right now, I think I like two quarterbacks. I do think I'd like to see Lee get 75% of the snaps. I'd like to see Lee start most drives, but I think I'd give JJ a drive in each half, plus use him in some situations.

4TD drives for LEE . I could care less what you say as far as not knowing what could of happened . How many times did JJ takes us down the field and score a TD--- 0 . JJ did good inside the gaytor 10 , but JL took us down the field all night . Except one time . So if you are saying both QB's were equally effective , I say you are an idiot . If you want to be thurough , JJ threw a pick (again) that led to 7 points for UF . Take that along with the 3 points JJ got us , on the night JJ was -4 in point produciton . Suck it

But it had nothing to do with JJ being in the game.
And I rightfully called you an idiot for thinking that you had stumbled upon something with such a small sample size. The results of this week threw your entire stupid theory out of the window.

I don't mind JJ being in on 2nd and short or 1st or 2nd and goal as long as there isn't a clock to compete with.

Nobody is crowning him King . He is just moving the ball better at the moment and getting all the receivers involved . Something JJ hasnt done .
