Just wish Les didn't seem to have his head up his arse most the time.

Les said that it wasn't really a difficult decision. Damn.

Of all the great .gifs, for some reason for me this is the GOAT!

Miles is basically killing all his ignorant haters at this press conference. CptBengal's head will explode.

I hope all the idiots that were still on here after the game saying "Jennings will start" will post in this thread.
I hope all the idiots here allow more than 1 incompletion before crying for Jennings.

Les blamed the MLB (welter) for the nmsu TD

I was never one of them. I've been consistent from the ending of that game.
You did say before the game that you didn't think Harris would get more than 9 snaps against NMSU though.

Jennings lost his job.
And Harris won it by playing outstanding. Out of the last 10 drives that Harris was the QB for this team, 9 of the drives ended in touchdowns. That's good regardless of the opponent.

quote:I don't think it was Harris. It was Jennings. If Jennings go out against New Mexico State and plays average, he probably starts against Auburn. Jennings played like absolute crap in that game. 2/5, 2 INTs, fumble. Les wasn't going to stand for the turnovers, especially against that quality of team.
I may not think much of how Miles has handled QBs in his time, but, Harris did sort of make the choice awfully damned easy.
IMO, if Jennings doesn't completely crap the bed, he's probably still the starter.
ETA: I agree with the poster above me that Harris took advantage and definitely earned his start. But, I don't think he gets that opportunity if Jennings plays average against NMSU instead of terrible.

Every season, he shows up to at least 6 games where the gap between his team and the other guys in talent is greater than the gap between the best and worst NFL teams. For typically about 2-3 others, he shows up with just better talent and for the rest, he shows up with at worst, a MINOR talent deficiency but more than likely, equal talent.
10 wins under those circumstances should almost be the norm. Now, if he was winning 10 per year at Ole Miss or MSU, you might be saying something.

This is truly a sad day for negatigers. We should put together a suicide watch list in case we win

I agree it wasn't, but it's still surprising to hear him, the Head Coach, say it was an easy decision.

Damn indeed. I was way off. I thought it would be a tough call, but glad he made it known early.
I dread to think what happens if he struggles. Jennings comes off the bench???
The has a Florida 04 feel to it. Hope the beginning goes differently but the end result is the same!!!

Quit lowering expectations and believe your eyes and George Whitfield. If you haven't noticed Harris' arm talent or that he and the team around him expect to win this year, wake up. We lost to an unranked team in SEC play. We cannot afford a rebuilding season with top recruits being underutilized. Recruits go where they will be highlighted.
Harris won it in the spring, summer and fall. The straw man that you cannot start the top ranked Dual Threat QB because he is a FR is dead. AJ could not prepare for Iowa and did not take the job when Miles tried to gift wrap it. We took the lumps w/AJ and so did LF, MD and the 10 or so different receivers to whom Harris has distributed the ball.

Trying to discredit LSU wins because you don't like the coach

Agree 100%.

quote:Yeah. I guess if Jennings had at least done something but holy lord, given who the opponent was, that was perhaps the worst showing I've ever witnessed for an LSU QB.

I've seen worse showings, but not against the likes of NMSU.
