I forgot about Ole Miss having gone to the Music City last year. However, they will not be high on the Liberty list because it will really hurt local travel for the game, which the hotels in the area depend on. UT and Arky will at least bring some from out of town, where a huge chunk of OM's alumni base is less than 2 hours from Memphis.
I think a more likely possibility for OM if they lose would be the Belk. The Florida bowls will have better choices. If they have Duke, there should be a descent local crowd, and Ole Miss will likely bring enough to make up the rest. The bowl isn't very old, but Charlotte seems like a good enough place to visit. I don't see them dropping lower, but I would understand the Florida bowls all passing

It all hinges on what happens with the SEC and the playoff picture. If both State and Bama make it in then it will open up more bowl opportunites for several teams.

Well, this has certainly been shaken up. UGA losing is huge, and should put them out of the top 6 bowls. Will Mizzou make it in if they lose in the SECCG? If not, the SEC is suddenly short a bowl with UT winning today.
I'm sure that the SEC will lobby hard to get Mizzou in (or Bama if they lose in the SECCG, but that won't be as difficult), but it certainly wouldn't be a lock.
I think one thing is close to certain after this game. Ole Miss ended on the upswing by killing State's season, and that will likely lock them into a Florida bowl. My original pick for OM was based on them losing today, so they probably move to the Outback or Gator. That likely puts LSU out of Florida, and either in the Texas, Belk, or Music City.
With SC landing with a huge thud, I wouldn't be surprised if the Belk wants either UGA or LSU, sending SC to Birmingham or the Indy. I think they are the least desirable team on the SEC board at this point based on expectations and finish.

Just because of location, I hope we end up in the Texas Bowl. Trying to price a suite.

I think the Tigers end up in Jacksonville vs. Minnesota.
