I'd replace "broke through" with "got lucky Saban was dumb enough to play Tua at 45%"

IIRC, the line with Tua playing with a high ankle sprain, jerry-rigged with zip-ties, was 'Bama -7. Had Saban been smart, Mac Jones would've covered that spread.

If we lose to Bama then y’all don’t get into the playoffs. Maybe a thank you is in order. Also, why do y’all constantly live in the past? Y’all lost to K-state and are not very good this year. Just accept it and move on.

You're a fu#%ing moron, you actually believe points scored is directly correlated to TOP? LSU scored 56 against ole miss and had 19 minutes of TOP. FYI, Tua was more than 45% for that game and Jones would not have been a better choice. You are showing your football and sports ignorance.

Mac Jones in T-Town is better than 45% Tua. IMO, Vegas didn't know exactly how bad off Tua was, yet still gave 'Bama -7. If Tua was 100%, LSU wouldn't had the TOP they did, thereby scoring less points.

They are no Kansas State or Iowa State

LSU had more TOP because Bama had a punt return for a TD and some quick scores. That's 2 possessions they scored on without gaining TOP. Apparently it doesn't translate to points.....

Also LSU was able to grind out 3rd downs on offense to sustain drives in the 2nd half

You're pathetic

Haven’t heard that phrase uttered around real college football fans....ever.

As much as I’d love to bitch slap him, NS has never been and unfortunately never will be dumb...Tua sure did move well for someone 45% if u watched that game baw...it wasn’t until AFTER the clock hit zeroes that he started being a diva and dragging his leg behind him

Valid point? You ended with GTFOH so if being an arse is a valid point carry on. again why do you guys choose cheater as your sports team names? Still waiting for an answer. And the boycott excuse is lame, you still scream and yell boomer sooner like all the ones that did not boycott the name. I worked for OU for quite a few years and it is worn like a badge of honor.

I have no idea what you're talking about. GTFOH is commonly used, not meant to be taken literally.

I don't know why the people in 1908 chose Sooners.

True. Much appreciated. I can see LSU getting #4 in the CFP had they lost to 'Bama.

It is still your battle cry and I believe you are not being honest about not knowing your favorite sports history.

For real though smack talk aside, the problem with Oklahoma and the main reason their fans are so arrogant is because their local media reports on nothing but OU, Oklahoma State and the Thunder all day long every day, never covering any out-of-state teams anywhere. They hear so much propaganda that they actually start to believe the stuff they hear, then they’re shocked when they get beat by better teams because they had just spent three weeks listening to the news tell them Oklahoma was gonna curb stomp everyone. I haven’t lived anywhere else in the country that is quite as insular as Oklahoma.

Whoa! That’s not even close to accurate. Fans here are very rational about our chances. We’re double digit dogs for a reason.

I would literally hang myself if I ever saw my team lose 8 straight to a hated opponent. Not since the 1960's against a Darrell Royal-coached Texass team has OU ever been dominated like that against another school.

Here's to hoping OSU dominates OU for the next decade

Am I supposed to know the reasoning behind why they chose "Sooners?" Should I know the other choices? Should I have the transcript on why they chose it? Why did Ole Miss choose "Rebels" I know what they meant when they chose it. I know what they are referring to, but why? Who knows?

I know what a "Sooner" is. I'm saying I wasn't there when they chose Sooners, nor was anyone else alive today. The question was "why did they choose it?"

The same way OU beats fosu every year, even with Blake Bell and Kendall Thompson taking the snaps. When you're owned you're owned. If Stoops would have kept Knight in the game in Stoolwater in 2013, we would have lost. So, in the end, it was Bell, and we beat them like we always do- just like Saban and LSU... we own them.

In all fairness, Alabama has pretty much had long winning streaks like that against most of the SEC.
Also, since you brought up the past, LSU beat Alabama 7 out of 8 times (including 5 in a row) to start this century.

(just kidding, of course)
