He's athletic and can score but he's a 6'4'' streaky shooter. With half of the second round now being overseas stashes it's not a good outlook for him.

This is the harsh truth.

I'm not sure he will be drafted, but he can make money somewhere. I cannot imagine him coming back as next year will be a rebuilding process at best.

When was Blakeney's stock high?

He was to be a one and done just like Simmons. He was ranked 15th in the ESPN Top 100. Just didnt develop under CJJ.

I just glanced at about half a dozen up to date mock drafts and didn't see him listed in any of them. If he wants to be drafted, he should play some defense. We all know he can shoot.

All supposedly one and done's dont pan out that way. His knock was his defense last year and it's the same this year. And Simmons actually hurt the program than helped it. Team would have been better off without him. Then he gave that interview special which irked many die hard basketball fans.

If America goes to war and the military drafts him, will be the only draft he gets close to.

No, he didnt. This is pure revisionist history. How in the hell does a guy averaging 19pts, 11.8rbs, and 4.8ast hurting a team? Great locker room guy? Maybe, maybe not, but holy hell, those are incredible numbers.

True, but the post made it seem like he should have declared for the draft last year, but his stock had already tanked as soon as he was eligible.

I think he'll leave this year and take the 2nd round position. But if we hire a guy who can convince him that he'll get him into or close to the lottery he might stay. This years draft is supposed to be deep so that could help us out in terms of holding onto him. Just another reason why Jones should already be gone. The longer he stays the more kids we will lose to the draft, transfer and recruits.
