Biggest weakness of the saban defense

Some of you may or may not recall his times here at lsu but one of the biggest weaknesses of his attacking style of defense was circle/wheel/arrow routes to backs out of the backfield. I remember ole miss, auburn, and Florida having a lot of success doing that to lsu back when saban was here.

Forcing those backers to cover LF and DG is going to be a huge advantage we should take on

Counters, QB running, and making the LB's play in space have all been things that score on Bama over the last 9 years.

You have to make Bama players think and react. They are use to flying around with specific assignments not thinking about anything else. They are allowed to attack full speed all the time.

aTm had a good plan to beat them, Knight was just no threat in the passing game to open up the field.

They also made turnovers to give bama easy points and turn themselves more one dimensional. If there is 0 threat of run, their ends and backers pin their earls back and blitz every down

Don't try to run it down the throat of their defense. Slants to Dupree on 3rd downs.
