Anyone not yet quite sold on Ali Gaye yet
He came back for another year to raise his draft stock …he knows that he has room for improvement…but he’s shown natural pass rushing ability

Yes, his inability to set the edge is laughable. Rarely does he get off a block and make a significant impact. Good Kid Though . He’s just not that good IMO.

Reminds me of Allen Faneca number 66.

Faneca started his Freshman year as well.

How fortuitous for Kelly to inherit what might turn out to be a generational talent at OT to start his tenure here. Emory looks to be a good one too. Great way too hit the ground running.

He didn’t inherit Will. He was uncommitted when hired.

I’m no expert but my take on him has been more about tending to overrun the play.

I know O is a Dline guy, but hoping some higher level coaching (Jamar Cain) can coach up his high athletic ability into a very solid player for us this year.

I chose the wrong word. I just meant that to get him as a true freshman is ideal. He hasn’t been coached yet.

I have noticed this over the past 2 years as well. Looks like Tarzan and plays like Jane. Dude needs to step it up to be a factor in the SEC games. His performance has been no where close to some of our better D-Ends.

Campbell, Jones, heard, tyree Adams and even bordelon and fitz west coming along nicely from some reports could be a really good group in 2024.

Yeah I’m not saying he’s not good but people are consistently putting him in this “greatest d-line at lsu ever” and let’s be real. In the past 20 years of lsu he is probably average to good as a d-end.

At his position opposite BJ, he has to be able to set the edge. There are reasons we have had two worst defenses in the history of college football last 2 years. I hope he improves and is all SEC.

Because he side stepped Bama, and pissed Tricky Nicky off. LOL
