Can you explain how practicing/teaching SEC football players to win one-on-one battles at the point of attack is useless? It helps every position except maybe deep snapper, kicker and QB! WRs need to get off the press coverages and block downfield, all defenders need to take on blockers at some point, Oline and Dline essentially do a form of this on every play, RB/FB block and need to run through tackles on 3rd and inches...
It looked like they could've used some of that last year at times. You can't beat them to death in practice during the season, but spring and summer practices should be hard and physical.
