Oklahoma lost their best defensive player Lewis for 8 weeks running the Oklahoma drill.

23 vs 18 really isn't an even fight. One is still a boy the other is a man.

last year when everyone was so pumped about it I said they should let Lee and Jefferson go at it so decide on the starter

That's not right...because one would bring a knife to the fight and the other a gun. It would turn ugly.

Mostly, they go "thud" which is initial contact, and then no follow through to the end of the tackle.

damn, some of you guys really get a stiffy for this shite huh? Seems kinda pointless to me and just runs the risk of tiring guys out over the season quicker... not sure when they officially quit it

Have you ever played a down of football?

We had a drill where one player was put in the middle surrounded in a circle by six others....coach would call out the names of the guys in rapid fire succession to "attack" the person in the middle....the whole idea being to teach footwork and hand technique to avoid a heavy hit....we called it the bull pen. This also served to harden the skin for the hits that come in a game...by the end of 2 weeks of practice, you couldn't even feel the hits any more. We only hit for 2 days of practice per week....after that it was thud tackling as previously stated.

60 is Will Blackwell and still yeah he has really good drive and leverage for a big guy. Im not sure if he will play in number 60 it just might be his practice uniform but yeah 60 is him.
