So hear me out

The defense did get absolutely crushed this weekend. Ole Miss has a pretty good offense, and an above average running QB. We will not see another QB like that this year.

Now the spread was 21 points, and we won by 21 points which is very good, even with what happened on defense.

Would you have felt better if we won 21-0 and then we could say our defense was great and our offense sucked?

Our defense is almost always going to give us enough to allow this offense to come out and dominate each week, and I will take our offense over any teams defense. SO, was this a bad defensive game? Yes, but was it the worst thing to happen, especially coming off the Bama game? Not by a long shot

They need to get over the slow starts. Playoffs won't give the luxury of a slow start and being able to overcome that.

I believe both sides of the ball feed off each other so an early strong performance by the defense will bode well.

Can't let these next two games change the mentality. I love O's message of focusing one week at a time.

Take care of Arkansas and then move on to the next week and talk CFP semi's when it's time to. Not a down earlier.

31-7, but for real! Everyone seems to forget we stuffed Ole Miss the first half. To our defensive players, this game was over at half time. 3rd string players started going in 3rd qtr. Ole Miss had TWICE the yardage in the 2nd half than they did the 1st half.

I don't support that mentality, that's not a good mentality to have going into the playoffs, but damn! Do they deserve all the scrutiny they've been receiving - hell no!

People on here are just god damned idiots!

My apologies. I mean the first few defensive series are typically kinda slow. If I recall correctly, Ole Miss drove the ball down the field pretty effortlessly their first possession.

I’m not hating or mad at the defense. I just don’t think the defense should take a few drives before waking up.

Tell us how you would get this defense up to par coach? I’m sure O and Aranda would love to get some advice from a tiger droppings coach.
