Archer only coached those DB's. He was a good DB Coach. You know that Arnsparger ran that D. We needed a better Special Teams Coach and O-Coordinator.

I am new to the board. I have enjoyed reading many of your posts for months and have now decided to join the fray.
I agree with Pisces Tiger. The best group of linebackers in LSU history was Michael Brooks, Toby Caston, Eric Hill and Ron Sancho. Although I liked the group of Lawrence, Faulk and James, I don't think they are a close second. What set apart Brooks, Caston, Hill and Sancho was their combination of size and speed. Today's emphasis is towards smaller linebackers due to spread offenses being so common, but Brooks, Caston, Hill and Sancho were big LBers who could still be effective today due to their ability to run. And Brooks, until he blew out his knee at Florida in his senior season, was a very special player. Reminiscent of Lawrence Taylor. He was the single most important reason LSU beat Kentucky in Tiger Stadium in 1984. The guy was unblockable that night.
