re: Besides the cheating, what really bugs me about the PP call

Only thing I will add is that I was sitting 15 rows from the field. The official announces in the stadium that the ruling on the field is... An official review. They didn't announce to the stadium that it was ruled as incomplete or int. What I gathered was that it was too close for them to tell so they did not make a ruling on the field and that the desicion would be based soley on the replay.

On TV they said it was incomplete, which is correct. The default call in that situation is incomplete.
I want to see this sideline view from CST. That's the decisive angle that CBS didn't provide.

Well of course they didn't show the replay in the stadium and didn't announce a ruling on the field. So we really had no idea.

So tell me, in a hands catch that is not bobbled or double caught, when is possession established?
There is no "hands catch" in the rule book....

With all the players surrounding the SJ and HL you might have missed the SJ rule incomplete.

It's all about control and if you catch the ball in your hands and don't bobble or double catch it, you have control as soon as it is in your hands. If you catch the ball against your body, the ball tends to move around and you dont have control until you tuck it with a football move.

Why don't you quit spewing BS and actually quote the rulebook?

By that standard a split second later, should he drop the ball, it's a fumble. Take a step back and think about what you are saying.

The SJ may have ruled it incomplete but it was obvious to anyone watching the game they didn't know what to call on the play. The SJ was blocked from seeing the catch by the players and had the brook trout look when asking the other ref for help and the other ref obviously didn't know what happened or they would not have talked about it for so long before calling it incomplete and sending it to the booth. If either one of them saw it as incomplete they would have called it immediately instead of talking about it for so long. It was pretty obvious that they missed the play and had no choice but to call it incomplete on the field thinking that the booth would be able to get it right after review. The problem was that the booth used the call on the field as a way to justify a bad call.

Miles's statement that he was "satisfied" was not only chickenshit but stupid. WHY should he be satisfied with a process that delivered an obviously incorrect ruling?
If you are making four million dollars a year, and your excutive board of advisors explains the hard facts of life, what would you say to them?
Don't tell me, let me guess; "take this job and shove it".
