After he takes a shot (misses or makes it), why is he always the 9th person down the court? Can't be giving them easy layups down low while he's outside of the 3 pt arc.

Not when you consider the context of what he does for this team. He is by far the best defender on the team, the best rebounder, the best passer, etc...
Criticizing his effort on defense considering what he does all game is ridiculous.

Take Justin Jackson from Carolina and LSU is instantly better. He can score from anywhere on the floor and he rebounds and plays defense.
