What would ya'll think of him as a coach? Think he would be good? He is one of, if not the best, pitchers of all time at LSU. I've wondered this when I hear him calling the game. He loves LSU. Discuss.

He coaches my nephew in little league and is really good and patient with them. Watching him you would never think that he was a MLB player because he understands that they are just kids and doesn't yell or say too much to them. He also has been contacted by ESPN 2 or 3 times to be on baseball tonight, but he wants to stay here instead of moving to bristol.

That's what I was thinking. Seems like he would make a great pitching coach. But, you never know. Maybe when his children are older it would be something he would consider.

The former Tiger I would really like to see as the pitching coach would be Chad Ogea. Didn't get by on talent, but learned how to pitch. He has been teaching private lessons for awhile now and still lives in BR.

As a pitching coach, sure. He obviously knows what he is talking about when he critques a pitcher. As a head coach, not so sure.

IF grewe would leave & i hope he does get a good warm weather head coaching job.
either would be ok, if they have the right mindset to work for maineri & the college system.
