“In the last 40 years, there have been five regular season games between AP No. 1 and 2 in which AP No. 1 was an underdog. AP No. 1 won outright all five times, including LSU as a five point dog at Alabama in 2011.”

Let’s ride boys!!! #Moneyline

People shite on Bear but it's clear now that he's their primary stat/scenario guy behind the scenes and I wonder if he wanted TV time to stay on with ESPN. Either way I don't mind him on camera just because I can see he likely has a lot of respect from all of the primary guys.

eTA: Kirk was telling a story and it didn't occur to me but he's the one feeding them all/most of their info during the broadcasts behind the scenes.

He also picks against the spread at a pretty good success rate. People are just jealous because they are fat and bald and they are not on tv like Bear.

He’s the College GameDay Researcher.

He’s really good people.

ESPN, Fox, NBC, etc. has someone like this behind each broadcast. A lot of these analysts are good at telling you what they see. The brief writer/fact checker/researcher is the one that supports that analyst’s angles with numbers to pull it all together though.
