The “rabid fan base” didn’t seem to bother Sean Clifford a few weeks ago…

If LSU takes care of #29 on Auburns defense the chances go way up that he will have a good game. He will be gunning and spying on Daniels. Missouri did a poor job against him. He caused havoc all game

Rummel, have you been to a night game @ Auburn? Strange things happen there

Bruh, he didn't come from the Patriot League.

If we were going into UT, FL, Bama, UGA...sure, I might agree with you. But not with this AU team.

They got beat the frick down by Penn State and just watched an abortion of a game against missouri. Their coach is on the verge of being fired and you think their stadium is going to be rabid? Don’t see it.

Just checked a couple of games in Daniels’ true freshman season. I thought the game where he threw for over 400 yards to beat a Justin Herbert led, future Rose Bowl winning and top 5 finishing Oregon was at Autzen, but it was at Sun Devil Stadium. Still, a great performance for a true freshman against a much superior team.

But, while it’s no Jordan Hare when it’s rocking, he did go to East Lansing and play at #18 Michigan State in front of 71k in only the 3rd game of his career. MSU had a good defense, but Arizona State hadn’t done anything on offense all day, scoring only 3 points until getting the ball in the 4th down 7-3 with only 3 and a half minutes left to play. He led them on an 11-play, 75 yard, game-winning touchdown drive in 2 minutes and 44 seconds, making the biggest play of the drive:

quote:

Arizona State (3-0) drove 75 yards in 11 plays at the end, against a Michigan State defense that had been stifling all day. Quarterback Jayden Daniels ran 15 yards for a first down on fourth-and-13 from the Michigan State 28, and Benjamin's touchdown put the Sun Devils ahead.

We may lose—crazy shite happens in this series and we’ve come up on the losing side in a lot of those at Jordan Hare—but I’m pretty confident that if we do, it won’t be because Daniels got rattled. I don’t think that’s in his DNA.

“Daniels hasn’t fricked up yet but he will and when he does I’ll finally be able to say, I TOLD YOU SO.”

That’s what you and many others sound like. frick just support the kid and wish for the best.

He regressed a little against Moo St.

I expect the same here, but also think the offensive scheme is coming together so won’t be as noticeable

I agree and that's what I think Kelly brings along with the great staff he has put together.
