Will this year's men's team wear the 70s-style uniforms with the cursive script and stars, that they wore last year vs Tenn and Texas Tech, and a couple of other games?

Loved that design-- a classic

The gift shop next to TS is selling replicas of these uniforms and there is mannequin wearing one in the entry area. So I would say there is a good chance its now a thing.

And I agree. Best basketball uniforms ever, even though they did tweak the original somewhat. Now if they would just bring back the white Converse All-Stars. And a slow kid from the Catholic league like Jordy Hultberg who could fill it up from perimeter.

EDIT
And Al Green was a bad arse 2 guard. Actually drafted by the San Diego Chargers to play DB even though he never played football.

How are the new ones different from the 1970s originals -- they look the same.

This is really picking nits, but the numbers are smaller and of course the shorts are longer. And honestly, I had assumed the new ones did not have the name at the bottom but they do. Also, not specific to the uniform itself, but the players not all wearing the same style and color shoe kick in my ADHD. Overall though, the best throwback uniforms in the country imo.

Nike wasn't the vendor for the original uniforms, Medalist Sand-knit was one of the leading suppliers back then with the tackle-twill process of logos, numbers, names, etc.
