Butch seemed to me to do better than Brady when he took over. He got more response from the players. It was quite evident that the players weren't missing Brady.

That's because you were wearing a pair of these

NEGATIGER

Our conference games record with Butch was .500, the same as Brady's that year before he got fired.

And what was our record before Butch took over?

Don't know, and it doesn't matter. The only way to compare them was to look at conference games since all of Butch's games were in conference. The result was exactly the same, which proved everything the NEGATIGERS had been saying was FALSE!! In case you still don't believe it, you currently have experiment number two in progress. Same results.

Best recruiting class on paper? Really?

Are you aware that the 2003 class was consider possibly the best in the country? Bass, Koundjia, Neltner, Lazare, and Minor. Yeah, they were all big-time recruits.

You lack a sense of history. You're applying hindsight to those classes when you can't for THIS class. Brady brought in a few top 10 - 15 classes. A couple that were considered top 5 by some.

I'm not saying that Brady should be the coach, but he brought a lot of talent to LSU. All of you Brady haters need to get over it. He's been gone for two years. He did an admirable job of keeping the program afloat and even shined bright on a couple occasions.

Much like Gerry Dinardo, I have to thank John Brady for at least showing that LSU could be relevant again. Maybe they weren't the best coaches in the world, but they did more good than harm for LSU. That cannot be said for Dale Brown, who some people still seem to keep on a pedestal. At least Brady didn't get the hammer dropped on LSU.

Torris Bright was never an SEC-calibur PG after his freshmen year when the superb talent around him covered his deficiencies. Spent too much time on ice chest raids, I think.

That game had more to do with Tack being unable to break the press than anything else. If you don't have a guard with a tight handle, a team like UAB will beat you quite often.
