Bottom line. Statistics compared from this year to last year mean nothing. I care about wins and JJ proved it last year. Be a man and take your licks if JL falls on his face against WV and or Bama. One thing is for sure, JJ was the starting QB last year and beat both.

At home, it should be noted.

Pathetic.

One thing is for sure, JJ isn't an option at QB right now.

Are you serious? So I guess LSU is 1-0 this year. Lets not count the games away from Tiger Stadium. So is this JL's out if Bama beats us because JJ beat them at home? Wait, Everyone agrees that the Defense this year along with the running game is better so how can playing on the road be a cop out? I am all for the best on the field and JL has big shoes to fill this year. I guess everyone who can not understand this is under the same category of people who hates Les Miles because he started JJ over JL. You are questioning your head coach not me.

Gary Crowton also proved it last year, by your logic.

If JJ is reinstated I am sure he will get PT.

This is a joke, right? You're good on the OT and Poli, but you suck on the rant.

i can't make that same assumption, based on JJ's actual play last year for a number of games....that seems to be a stretch.

This is begging for a Lee '08 comment.

Wow good post Roger!

I can wait to see the JJ fanbois spin that JJ was better because he beat Bama and WV but was held back by Crowton who by the logic listed was the O/C who beat them as well?

How they will squirm out of that one and give JJ all the credit and Crowton all the blame will definitely be an epic story and there might even be a fact somewheres in there?????????

Think about why that is.
Seems pretty clear it's because the offense has been pretty sluggish the last couple of years while he's been the main starting QB. Every starting QB with performances similar to Jefferson's the last couple of years has been the subject of significant criticisms. Hell, many of them have been more heavily criticized despite having more productive offenses (Booty, Howard). Most people either lack the understanding of the game to realize that there's a lot more to an offense's production than just the QB's play, or they just don't care and blame/credit the QB whatever the result is.

The QB's main duty is to run the offense and get the ball into the hands of those who can make the plays. HIs play may be weighted, but still the QB is a member of a team. I honestly don't think there would be a huge amount of difference no matter which of these two QB's play, in this offense. There are situations i would prefer JJ, but there are also situations I would definitely prefer Lee. Still, it's a team effort an W/L and total production isn't totally dependent on your trigger man.

Lots of blame to go around on offense the last couple of years. I'm glad we don't throw 50 times a game like Crowton obviously wanted to. Combination of many things that have led to our QB troubles over the years. JJ gets alot of crap for no reason at all. If JL loses a game, in which I hope he doesn't, you will hear everyone start complaining the same way they did about JJ.
