die hard and not afraid to tell the truth. i put tigers in my skin left arm. saints on the right. i goto at least one game a year. non fair weather, realistic, lsu tiger in shreveport.

You can be a die hard fan and still recognize your teams weaknesses and areas that need improvement. Geez dude, fans talk about football and discuss their team in detail. Us being 3-0 for playing inferior opponents is no reason to celebrate.

Honest criticism is fine. The problem is that there a bunch of retards who know nothing about football who are constantly bitching about non issues while wholly ignoring actual issues.

Life is made up of winners and losers.
Winners recognize their weaknesses and work to make them better, or they build up their strengths to make up for their weaknesses. They do not, however, bitch, moan and complain about their circumstances. They are not a victim. Kick their arse and they get up and keep coming.
Losers always see the faults in others, the system, or themselves. They expect failure and thus look for it at every turn. Even in victory they constantly feel they do not deserve it because of something that was not perfect. Often, when they win it is fleeting and they fall back in the rut of being average.
Our fan base is no different that the public as a whole. Some are winners and some are losers.
Even the most diehard fan has to recognize that we haven't performed our best, but damn!, we won each game pretty easily without our A game. At least we have the talent and with some improvements we will be competitive in every game with a chance to win. Very few programs can say this.
It all comes down to a choice
1) Stay Positive and hope we continue to improve.
2) Go Negative and I guess celebrate when we lose and you are proven right.

The same people that expected a 9-3 year are the same people that will freak out if we go 9-3.
Lots of people forget that this is the best run LSU has ever had record wise and don't think that is quite good enough for them. I would bet they wouldnt be proud of their own kids even if they were rhoads scholars.
