I faced better pitchers than Austin Ross on the reg in high school. And I went to a small private school too so it's not like I was playing 5A teams all the time.

Matt Cain is a sp for the Giants. Josh Smoker was a 1st round pick by the Nationals a couple years ago and is in their minor league system. Didn't keep up with every pitcher I faced

And the way Ross has pitched this season, I would be surprised to ever see him in the minor leagues

Base Running is killing us. Can't guarantee if we would have won 2 out of 3 but it sure would have been close. Look the pitching was pathetic but Gibbs trying to steal second today was an absolute joke. I don't know if any flamers on here could actually hit Ross or Bradshaw or anyone at LSu for that matter but come on, Gibbs running is a freakin joke and don't give me the shite about him stealing 7 out of 8. I go most home games and have been a season ticket holder since 1991 so I have seen Gibbs running and when he has gotten some steals. We had the same damn problem last year and amazingly Paul M corrected it. Let's hope for the same this year. Guys, we have no starting pitching this year so if we make it to Omaha it will be a damn miracle.

Getting beat is one thing, getting swept b/c of piss poor fundamentals is unacceptable. Ole Miss isn't that good fellas. They are ranked about where they should be. Pretty good at home but come on the are about a 15-20 ranked club at best. We are about 8-12 right now and falling fast.

Last year, we would have probably swept Ole Piss. Last year's team was awesome for most of the year and you could tell by this point in the season we had a real chance to win it all b/c of 2 great starters and great closer + some real clutch hitters (DJ LeMaheiu was a bad arse and so was Jared Mitchell in the clutch) How about Ryan S. -- man, he would always smoke it when the game was on the line.

Let's hope when Watkins comes back we can piece it together.

That Gibbs steal was bad...but it almost looked like a botched hit and run. If so...landry had a pitch that was certainly hittable....wasn't the count 3-1?
