I hope the rest of the nation doesn't see that. Hawaii does it, but at least many of their players are Polynesian. Whatever makes them feel cool I guess.

Uhm...#54 is 1/2 Aborigine which is not Pacific Islander. .it'd make more sense if he was 1/2 Maori and this were Rugby ...but he's not and it isn't so...uhm...sounds pretty dumb

He's aboriginal Islander. That is quite different than an Australian Aborigine. The island culture is more akin to the culture of Papua New Guinea than Australia and the islander/Papua New Guinean war dance looks similar to the Haka.
I doubt Alabama does anything like this before the game, but if they do, it will be because of Jesse Williams.
I think they were probably just fricking around in the hotel.
