He can donate. He can publicize. He can recruit. All from a higher platform then as a collegiate player.

Sure he can, but will he actually do that? Looking through his social media, he seems to be all about some Greedy Williams. Only in his final farewell does he say anything about the team, the fans, the school, or the program.

He SHOULD make this move. any thing else is borderline irresponsible.

Then why even play this season? Was playing the entire season irresponsible?

What difference does it make if it's a playoff game. If it's all about money and his future, then that shouldn't matter, right? I think they get paid the same amount of money and incur the same risks playing in any collegiate games, whether it be a spring game, SEC game, bowl game, or playoff game, shite even practice.

If he doesn't play in bowl game, one would reasonably assume that he would not at in any showcase game. Heck, he might not participate in combine. Too much risk. Make it all come down to pro day in Baton Rouge

It makes zero difference. These people just lack critical thinking skills. They would tell you he should absolutely play for a championship. Why? You can’t have it both ways. Either he is risking millions or he isn’t.

And they will say a championship means something. What does it mean? In reality It means you completed something you set out to accomplish. You saw something through. It’s no different than finishing the year with your team.

They will 100% defend the first player who sits out his entire junior season. This is what our society has become.

But I 100% agree with you. It's about finishing what you started. The bowl games still count. The bowl game sure as frick matter to our fans' opinion of Orgeron, so it's really odd seeing some of those same fans say they're nothing more than exhibitions. If that's truly the case, then I don't want to hear a word from any of them any time we lose a bowl game.

Shut up.

He's a professional athlete now. As soon as he signs with an agent he's getting paid to accept any ridicule that comes his way. I'm not bashing him but it comes with the territory. You accept the money and you accept everything that comes along with it. So spare everyone the shame on you bullshite

I mean really, most definitely represent your fricking school and support your teammates; help to elevate the program to 10 wins. (A&M should've been our 10th win but the dysfunctional decision to let Giles return a punt in that critical situation killed that. Thanks McMahon with an Orgeron approval )

I could care less about the Little Darlings (AKA Worshipped Idols to all the Pump Lump Cheerleader types) and their NFL careers.

I care only about LMSU and the LMSU football program as it compares to the other SEC West/SEC schools.........

I support the player’s decision to protect his future. College football for the elite athletes is tryouts to get to the professional level. His tryouts were successful and he’s moving on to his pro career. The NFL is the goal.

NO players read this site. And if they did, they're smart enough to know that the dipshits that badmouth them are just TV fans who give nothing back to the program.

Greedy, Devin - once a Tiger, always a Tiger.

Thanks for what you brought to LSU Nation.

Greedy might get killed next week by a drunk driver. His heart might stop tomorrow morning. He might as well stay in bed until he gets drafted and signs a contract. One in 10,000 chance of getting struck by lightening.

Dying in an elevator fall 1 in 10 million. You never know ?

The fact that a bunch of grown men are telling a kid what he should and should not do in this instance is beyond stupid. And hypocritical. How many of you old scrawny bitches have had perfect lives? Never lied, never cheated, never made a decision for YOURSELF and YOURSELF only? "Yea buhh buh buh... he's an athlete"... "yea buh buh buh.. his team and coaches"... stfu. He's a human just like you. He made his choice just like you. How many of you pos actually came thru when your own blood and close friends needed you? He is his own person and idgaf what you think.. RESPECT his decision you hypocritical, bitch made bastards. And the person who called him a snowflake.. 1. I wish I could go thru your past and see all the hoe like shite you've done and 2. Since you're such a manly man go say that shite to his face. Sad to see grown men act like the same thing they came out of

So his social media is an indicator that he'll never try to recruit anyone after he leaves? And let's be honest.. you don't know this man's life story and you don't know what he's struggling with in his life. One game doesn't make him any less of a Tiger

I don't have strong feelings on this issue. Personally, I wish the players would play. That is to say, I think they should play. People who say "the bowl game doesn't matter" ... I don't get that. If the bowl game doesn't "matter," why does any game matter? They play the regular season games to get the best post-season bowl game, preferably the playoffs, sure. But it doesn't seem logical to me to say that a regular season game(played in order to GET TO a good bowl game) matters, but the bowl game doesn't matter.

Not a fan's place to question the decision of a player to not play in the bowl game though. If the schools want to address this and make it a rule or make the players' scholarship obligations dependent upon playing all games, that's one thing. I can't see that happening.

It seems to me that Greedy would WANT to play in the game for love of his school, team, teammates, and for all he's worked for. But I'm not in his shoes and have no business questioning a decision that is his to make, for what he believes is in his best interest.

A player missing one meaningless game makes you this angry. He played his arse off for the last two years. Respect the man’s decision.
