BAD CALLS are not INCOMPETENCE

Many coaches get fired because they routinely make bad calls and deservedly so. Miles has been known to make quite a few bad calls. One could argue very convincingly that the pass plays after getting in FG range were "bad calls". One can even cite some pretty damned awful "bad calls" by LSU coaches and others. The "interception game" comes to mind.
HOWEVER, what happened last night was NOT "bad calls", it was INCOMPETENCE!! The man, with almost 30 seconds left after a play which left us with 4th and forever, didn't call timeout till 9 seconds. OK. He has a ridiculous excuse but let's give it to him.
THERE IS NO frickING EXCUSE EVEN POSSIBLE for NOT calling the follow on play DURING the timeout.
THAT my friends is gross incompetence and that is why Miles doesn't even TRY to address it. And THAT my friends is why this game was the end of Miles' career. We're just going to be forced to watch a long funeral.
As what happened sinks in to the players. As they talk to their more knowledgeable football friends. Hell, as they talk to their fathers back home, they are going to fully digest how large an idiot their coach is. AND, the fact that he is failing to own up to it is going to chap their arse. He WILL lose this team.

My dea friend shorty rob, the real question and obvious piece of hard evedience of bad calls do equal incompetence is this. JJ should have never had the oppurtunity to be sacked because we should have ran the ball twice called time out and kicked the winning field goal.Then the need for a hail marry pass isn't neccessary

you called it right. Run a couple of plays, burn the clock and kick the field goal. Not rocket science, although, I AM a rocket scientist.

Oh, i agree 100% and those were terrible calls.
But for frick's sake. Is there another coach on the PLANET that during a timeout with 9 seconds to go, does NOT tell the QB what the follow on play is? IS there a coach on the PLANET that chooses to not deal with what to do if the play works AFTER the play with NINE frickING SECONDS TO GO?
THAT my friend is worse than poor judgement. THAT my friend is a demonstration that you don't even know how to do your job.

How do you NOT tell the FG team "If this works I want you lined up before the ref even places the ball."?
