How does one go about acquiring away game tickets? Is it stubhub or eBay only??? I'd like to make an away trip this year at some point.

I wouldn't mess with Ebay, Stubhub is safe.

Kyle Field is expanding next year, but for this year we had to displace season ticket holders just to accomodate the 6K visiting fans.
Tough shite. Welcome to the big leagues.
A&M knew what they were getting into.

There is no mandate for # of tickets you have to allocate.
Only SEC rule is that you must provide 1500 lower level seats and you can't have students inside the 30s for the first 30 rows. There's no allotment.
The SEC schools and A&M reached a reciprocal agreement for one year for 6K tickets. It's not like A&M surprised anyone with this. And they kicked out loyal customers in the process.
For the record, Ole Miss, Miss State and Kentucky give lower #s of tickets than 6K. I'm sure we will give the average of 7K in 2013, if not come to a higher agreement with the likes of LSU and Bama for 8.5K.

Have you seen a revised A&M seating chart that shows updated visitor section?

The visitor block at Kyle will be comprised of sections 100 & 149. Visitors will also take above row 21- in 501-509 & 516-524.

I'm pretty sure that there is a minimum number of tickets that the host school has to provide to visitors. Most SEC schools allocate about 7K.

As they should. This is part of the price of joining the SEC.
A&M is the big ticket road game for LSU fans this season. They will bring a lot more than 6K fans to College Station.

LouLonghorn... SEC bylaws state there is no minimum, only a min # of low level seats.
With that said, it is common practice between LSU/Bama/Auburn/Arky/Florida/USC/Georgia/TN to distribute 7k tickets.
