Average relief pitching

Just think how competitive Lsu would’ve been in this series had we had average relief pitching. I have to say the future is bright with some of our young players but CJJ needs to get up to speed in finding more talented and reliable pitchers.

It's not the bullpen as much as the starters not going very long. Usually we only need 2 or 3 big arms in the BP to a weekend series

Not having a Friday and Saturday guy will do that to you. There’s very few teams that can take those losses and survive.

Right and LSU was without their 2 of their starters this series. Miss St gave up 8 runs every game with their top starters.

Still would be nice if LSU could get back to having a guy like Herring in the pen.

I realize you miss on evaluating a pitcher here and there but I can’t understand how this whole bull pen got here. How do you make it to the top level of college baseball and not be able to throw strikes, field a simple ground ball, make a routine throw to first base? It’s unbelievable.
