Auburn’s Defensive Formations

Do you think all the publicity about the new formations and Burrow and O talking about how it was something they weren’t prepared for etc is strategic?

Meaning do you think they are hoping Bama tries something similar after hearing them talk about it and we have a game plan for it.

Of course i realize they are preparing for lots of formations but this just feels strategic hoping Bama tries something similar.

These staffs aren't swayed by word games. They saw the video cut ups and will implement what they think is a good idea. Both staffs are pros.

Auburn spent a big portion of the game playing with 7 DB's and trusting their front 4 players to stop the run. It worked for awhile.

Bama doesn't have Auburn's talent in their down linemen to be able to pull off what Auburn did. Bama has better secondary talent than Auburn and better edge rushers so they will likely tailor their approach to take advantage of those perceived strenghts.
