LSU 28 to AU 10

Auburn comes out ready to play. AU defense holds us scoreless in first quarter. 0-0 after one. We start getting into a rhythm. 14 -7 at half. AU runs out of gas the second half. Our defense pitches a second half shutout.

Auburn will win-Harris will have flashbacks and nightmares from last year and the Tigers will look sluggish!

17-13 LSU

Refs keep it close and make what should be an LSU 14+ point win a close one.

Honestly, it isn't going to be close I look for LSU to come out of the gates quickly, much like they did against MSU last weekend.

But, unlike last weekend there are some factors in LSU's favor:

(1) home game
(2) huge difference in the opponent's QB between Prescott and Johnson.
(3) Even if Les Miles reigns in the passing game YET AGAIN, Auburn's run defense is porous. They are 98th in the nation, giving up 4.2 YPC and 200 yards a game, and that's against rushing attacks that are not comparable to LSU's. Also, Auburn's Carl Lawson is out for this game.

Regarding (3), rumor has it that Ed Orgeron talked to both Miles and CC after the game. He told them he doesn't have the depth on the DL to play as many snaps as they were forced to play in Starkville. Usually, that's a request to run the ball more, but in the wacky world of LSU, it means not running continuously against 9 and 10 men stacked in the box. In the 2nd half of last Saturday's game, LSU's offense had 5 consecutive 3-and-outs, which totally gassed the thin LSU defense.

Only at LSU do you see aa request to throw the ball MORE in order to increase TOP.

Last year was the largest blowout in the history of the series. No way we don't go for the throat.

I wasn't trying to call you out. I was looking to see if anyone predicted the score accurately and when I saw your post I thought 'talk about a swing and a miss, lol'
