Don’t think there is a coincidence in Lane Kiffin’s trolling on twitter and the Austin Thomas rumors.

The way LSU has been on the mind for 2 days in a row on his little account wouldn’t surprise me at all

Frick Austin Thomas and the mess he & Orgeron left us with in 2021

I'd blame O for that more than Austin Thomas. Yes Thomas was an entitled prick when he left the first time but under O, every single coach underachieved. Even Corey Raymond forgot how to recruit.

I’m not even sure what rumors are out there, but if he comes back to LSU, would he take over as Director of Player Personnel or something like his GM role before? Is that a step down?

He certainly wouldn’t take Beth Rex’s place as Chief of Staff, which has been his title at Ole Miss.

I think Austin Thomas under Brian Kelly will be a much different Austin Thomas than we saw under Orgeron. Shrimp Boat Captain was just toxic and everyone around him suffered.

From what I’ve read he would be taking over our NIL role and leading our collective.

Why is that the rumor? His title at Ole Miss was Football Chief of Staff - how involved was he with NIL?

I have no idea why that’s the rumor hence why it’s a rumor. I’m only repeating what I’ve read from people on this site.

These recent changes/coaching hires tell me Scott and Frank really have BK's ear.

not a reliable source. I can’t find any info about him being involved with NIL at Ole Miss.

Seems like that has been William Liston & Walker Jones.

Reminder that while LSU currently has 3 ladies running “NILSU”, LSU & coaches are not allowed to have their hands in any NIL deals or collectives.
Bayou Traditions is a partner with LSU Sports Properties, but is run by an entirely different group.

Isn’t he the third person to leave from the off-field personnel staff?

And just wait until the 2025 class is inked. You will have seen a nice upward trajectory over 3 years.

What is the obsession some here have with Lane Kiffin? It's bizarre.
