i was talking about wins and losses were wrong. they were 7-6 in '06. the bottomn line is his offenses declined after the first year or 2 no matter where he was at. if you want to use his 2 year stint at Oregon to disprove EVERYTHING else that the link in this thread provides about Crowtons inefficiencies, its your prerogative.

Just FYI, I contacted this guy and asked him to come over here. He said he would probably join the discussion later this evening.
Hopefully he will be on shortly. Said he may be able to offer some insight.

His offense went from #18 in the NCAA to #9 in the NCAA. That is not a decline.

So the fact his total yardage went down is not a decline also? Also scoring went from 37.64 in 2005 to 29.86 in 2006. Yet that is not a decline?

No, going from #18 in the NCAA to #9 in the NCAA is not a decline.

as ive said..his stats decline AFTER 1-2 years at a program, which has been proven. If you chose to keep using his 2 year stint at Oregon (which although the offense was RANKED higher the 2nd year, his stats STILL DECLINED in the 2nd year, and had a LOT of turnovers that caused them to go from 10-2 to 7-6) to discredit EVERY LITTLE FLAW thats been discovered about Crowton over the years, its your prerogative.

Don't worry, these people are just in denial. They'll see the truth soon enough...

Yes I did. Did you read this:

Reading both and being objective, and based on my own reseach, LSU makes the better case than the pissed-off-Oregon fan that was angry that Crowton left them to come to LSU. Yes, I know a lot of you people are pissed that our O is sucking this year. Even if it's not Crowton's fault at all, he still deserves the blame as OC. If we could get someone better, I'd fire Crowton myself, personally. But not thinking what I want to think, and instead trying to be honest, paying attention to reality, real... all that stuff... Crowton is a great coach. But like I said, I'd fire him if I could find somebody better.

If your offense goes from #18 to #9 in the NCAA, do you really think you'd be complaining about the OC?

You keep posting the same link with your offensive rankings that several of us just disproved..lol...how else do i have to type this? They STILL DECLINED. Regardless of the RANKING.
if you read the link, then you should have no reason to post offensive rankings for them 2 years knowing that there was still a decline and everything else the guy posted was right. OH, and if im not mistaken, he wanted Crowton to leave.

The guy is pissed that Crowton left Oregon so he wrote an article trashing him. Do you really think he was honestly pissed that he had an OC that Rivals.com ranked in the 10 Top in the nation (same Rivals.com that says we have Top 10 recruiting classes every year)?
Do you really think he was honestly pissed that he had an OC that did this at Oregon:
Crowton joined the Tigers after a two-year stint as the offensive coordinator at Oregon, where he overhauled the Ducks offense into one of the best in the nation. In 2006, Oregon ranked No. 9 in the nation in total offense, averaging 422.8 yards per game, which included 241 through the air and 182 on the ground. Oregon led the Pac-10 in both total offense and rushing. The Ducks posted a 7-6 mark as they reached the Las Vegas Bowl.
In his first year with Oregon in 2005, Crowton produced an offense that tallied the second-highest totals in school history in passing yards (304.5 per game) and points (34.5 per game). The Ducks ranked No. 8 in the nation in passing, No. 12 in scoring and No. 18 in total offense on their way to posting a 10-2 overall mark and reaching the Holiday Bowl.

I agree it is going according to this plan-- but what do we say about the great bowl games- the great game plans and play calling in bowls?
Posted on 10/13/09 at 7:05 pm to kltiger
even with a shitty QB there is NO WAY LSU should be putting 3 points on the frickin board, Florida's D is not that good, and you guys can keep makin excuses like that.
that looking over to the sidelines for calls shite is driving me batty, call a damn play and run it. Incomptence has been all over the place this year, and it just isn't Gary frickin Crowton.

So the offense regressed statistically.. but improved in overall rank -- that is not impressive. That means it has more to do with the other teams in the conference.
Your argument sucks, plain and simple.
