What the the rationale/process for deciding the locations of the semi-final games.

#1 team has the privilege of whatever location is best for them. Meaning if say UGA got the 4 spot, the #1 team wouldn't have to play an hour away from the campus of #4.

Better ? Clemson or Utah I don't care where we play I want Utes.

So assuming Utah or even Oklahoma is four either LSU or Ohio St would prefer Atlanta.

The teams can put in a request on where they would like to play. The 1 seed is taken into consideration first. The committee does ultimately get the final say and can send them wherever they feel like it.

It’s unlikely that UGA will stay in the #4 slot. If they beat us, they will move up to #3. If we beat them, they are out. Atlanta is actually geographically closer to Columbus than Glendale is, so I assume that Ohio State would choose Atlanta if they hold the top seed. We would as well, unless we are playing Clemson.
