I am the biggest tiger fan on this board but I think bama has an edge defensively, home field, revenge factor. It's going to be a great game but I think calls will frick us momentum
And slightly better coaching by Satan will do us in. I am ok with 1 loss and playing Boise in the sugar bowl. This years schedule is impossible

Alabama wouldn't beat Oregon
LSU and Bama are mirror images of one another imo. I think it will come down to scheme and a bit of luck. Give me Lesticles with 2 weeks prep time

Yeah, I have this underlying feeling that Studthorpe has an entire package of unique offensive plays that we've been practicing all year, but have yet to see, and we plan on opening that rather large can of whoop-arse come Nov 5th.
We've been successful with good play calling, but very vanilla offense, so far. I can't wait to see us throw Saban for a loop with some new looks and new plays.
My biggest, and really only, concern for the Bama game is the Line. Against what everyone is hailing as an unstoppable Bama Offensive Line, our D-Line has to shed blocks, make tackles, and pressure the QB.......and our Offensive Line better step it up to level 11 for 60 minutes......those things happen, and I think we take the W.

Dude.......seriously?
I wouldn't be down on my Tigers if we end up in the Sugar Bowl, but for this team ( and next year's team ) nothing is impossible.

both teams are even. bama should be a 3 point favorite since it's a home game for them.

Lee is better and more experienced. RR and Beckham will both demand double team. Our running game will have sucess because Bama will have to respect our passing game. if they dont a few play action by Lee will hurt them deep. JJ on a qb rollout having the option to pass or run will be money.
I believe we can and will stop bama run game forcing mccarron having to pass. A young qb passing against this secondary??? GTFOH
^This makes good sense to me. I think both teams run the ball well and play exceptional defense. The game being in T-Town gives the slight edge to Bama. Was at the 2007 game, so LSU can win there. Will be epic (redundant, redundant)

i've watched both teams closely. it appears to me that lsu's offense has a gear that bama's doesn't - the long passing game. bama's cracked the 30 yard pass mark 4 times whereas lsu has done it 7. lsu's yards per completion is 13 whereas bama's is 11.
bama might spread the ball around a litte more than lsu but, that's not to say lsu can't.
i think lsu's offense has a better chance at being balanced against bama's defense than bama's offense has against lsu's defense. bama will get running yards and will move the ball, no doubt. lsu's dbacks can definitely hang with bama's receivers. however, bama's dbacks are going to have their hands full.
couple that with experienced qb and slightly better special teams (wing) and i think lsu wins a close one.
it's subjective but, i think miles and co are a little more creative with game planning than satan is.

QB: LSU
RB: Alabama
OL: Alabama
WR: LSU
TE: LSU
DL: LSU
LB: Alabama
CB: LSU
S: Alabama
K/P: LSU
KR/PR: Alabama
Home Field: Alabama (going to be a big factor)
Alabama will open as a 6 point favorite if both are undefeated.
To beat them, LSU must make Alabama's offense beat them. In their two big games this year, Alabama has scored 28 non-offensive points. You have to play disciplined on offense, not turn the ball over, and make McCarron beat you with his arm.

Actually, it's the combination of both. We've dominated ranked teams...and two of them being on the road.

instead of comparing positions, i prefer to look at how they will play out.
lsu offense vs bama defense - bama's dbacks are going to have their hands full, bama can't focus on the run game
bama offense vs lsu defense - lsu's dbacks should be able to neutralize bama's pass game, thus focusing on the run
special teams - advantage lsu
coaching - even. saban is meticulous and methodical. miles is more creative and is second to none with more than a week to prepare.

Above poster,BFN,hit it on the head. This is not our best team ever and not sure why some are even saying that. I think both teams are even EXCEPT at QB position, and I give LSU advantage there. Playing at home might help help us a tad though,so basically,it's a tossup,JMO
