Pretty insane an "LSU Fan" is bitching because two posters on a message board are optimistic about the upcoming season.
I was more optimistic about this team than you last year and am this year as well.
I know how good we can be with the proper leadership.
You are the one constantly deriding any lofty hopes and expectations as supposedly unattainable.

“ really bitter over losing miles”
Miles lost 10 games in his last two years and four games. I have referenced that as entirely unacceptable for LSU football since 2000. When the story broke in November 2015, that there was a plan in place to replace miles with Jimbo I was entirely in favor of that move.
No one is to blame for miles being fired but for miles. Did I appreciate The success brought to LSU, damn right. The very same as I did for Nick.
So, your claim of any bitterness on my part because Miles is no longer here, is totally incorrect.

So good at defensive scheming that no qualified coach, or any coach for that matter, saw fit to put him in charge of a defense.

The handwringing and circular arguments by O defenders
Man, no one is running circles but you. In one breath you curse the HC, then when called on it you claim you think its going to be a great season
You are making circular arguments. The rest of us are pretty happy to deal with 2019 and let chips fall where they may.
In every one of these threads you cry, moan, complain and curse the HC. You're not fooling anyone
You're complaining in this thread about people being optimistic.

He wasn’t a coordinator
No he wasn't. So the frick what? It means nothing. He was assistant head coach for two championship teams. That triggers you doesn't?

So he was an assistant to a good coach and not allowed to run a defense. You’re grasping at straws to defend the fact that he’s never been a coordinator, AKA someone qualified to develop and implement a scheme.

The handwringing is starting the stupid thread to begin with. Not with the people that respond to the thread by ridiculing the people that agree with the premise of the thread.

I’ll type slow for you.
This should be a great season. I do, however, have concerns that the coaching staff will fail to get this team to its full potential, as it has in 2016, 17, and 18.
I don’t have to be “called” on anything. I’ve said all along I think O’s shortcomings as a HC could cost this team great things. Just like last year when you and your ilk were setting everyone up with the 7-5 talk I said this it was a 10-2 team but that coaching would likely cost us a game we should win and we’d go 9-3.
See, I go by what I’ve seen, not just hoping and praying.
I believe with the proven veteran leadership on the field and from Aranda, and yes O will get deserved credit as well if the team reaches their potential, this team can get to 11-1 against this schedule.
So I am very excited to see it play out.
I don’t have to have a picture of O as my screensaver like you in order to be optimistic about this team’s potential.

Are you really that dumb to think that you have to be a coordinator to be a head coach? Head coaches are good administrators not all coordinators are good administrators. Do you also believe you have to play college football to be a coordinator?

As always, your inability to respond is your strongest asset as a poster, Rog.
It’s only when you try to do so that your desperation and ignorance fully shines through

Don't be upset when you're judged by your posting history.
Because that's the exact message you're projecting.

Period. Until then, he is being evaluated. Why can you not grasp that
On that basis saban failed last year.
Your criterion is therefore wrong.

Well again, this isn't true. He hired himself as DC at OM.
That said, he wouldn't do it again.
Even he knows he's doesn't know enough to be a coordinator, but we're not allowed to say it because that's too mean.
