Until we name a new DC, it's open season. Whether he does or does not flip a kid, doesn't mean he won't try.

Davis is a 21 guy. He’s not gonna sign for at least 11 months. He offered the #1 OLB in next years class. He’s not trying to poach this class.

Obviously he’s going to recruit 2021 guys.

Not implying that he is poaching, only that without a DC, he will have leverage. I don't think it is a dick move and frankly, fair game, but for defensive players already committed, could be a few headaches till we shore up the dam

Did Aranda have to pay LSU to get out of his contract?

No LSU defensive commit will flip to Baylor. Unless there is some depth chart or momma issue

He has never been a HC before, his connections for hiring assistant coaches or recruiting players are through LSU.

Most of the class is already in. You don’t rush a major hire for a signing day where you’ll land 4-5 more prospects and the 21 guys aren’t even in consideration right now when. Comes to a DC.

The hire will be made in the next 2 weeks. Until then we’re not going to lose or land anyone because of a DC hire.

He is being paid millions of dollars to act in Baylor’s best interest. He’s going to recruit and coach the very best he can.

No. Contract provided that he could break it early if leaving for another college head coaching position. Only if he had made a lateral move in college ranks would he have owed something to LSU.

Good lord, you people are awesome! To take what somebody didn't say and then say they said it is a new level of over comprehension. Perpetuating assumptions and turning them into new facts is a special kind of stupid only the rant sustain any credit for. You people are truly a special bunch. Animals, all of you. lol

I would argue Baylor is a lateral move.
Pay up boy!

Seriously? The LAST thing LSU should be concerned about in recruiting is Aranda who wasn't even remotely the best recruiter at LSU! Plus, Baylor is still Baylor. What IS worse is that the guy is trying to pilfer coaches. But as others have said, IF LSU wants to keep a particular coach, you can always offer equivalent title/more money. But IF LSU really has to worry about Aranda doing player recruiting harm, then LSU has far greater problems than Aranda.

I see it differently for different years. 2020 is basically in the books but coming at guys in this class that are not signed but that he recruited, that is pretty sleazy IMO. Unless you think that Kiffin/Orgeron trying to steal guys from TN to USC at the last minute that time was kosher. Few would agree with that because they got heavily criticized for that from people not even associated with TN. But 2021...all is fair in love and war and football recruiting.
