Did anyone else notices how animated Coach O and Aranda got when the defense started out slow in the 3rd quarter. You can tell they were determine that this team would not fall asleep and let Ole Miss back in the game like the previous 4 games.
I loved their reaction and I think the players got the message.

I realize that its hard to play a perfect game and there will be some ups and downs, but this was clearly our most complete game.

I just know that in the third quarter, I felt the urge to throw shite on the field again.

I think he thought Ole Miss was going to just quit and stop trying. Got to give him credit. When he saw that it wasn’t working, he went back to being creative.

You are correct. It took a couple of drives though.

We punted once.... Anyone who doesn't see this as a great gameplan on offense just doesn't want to acknowledge the positive aspects of the game.

The offense actually was driving and 2 fumbles killed potential TDs.

Especially when he called that fumble play when we were driving to score.

I agree. The difference was they went back to what was working sooner this game, and the offense got back on track in the mid 3rd.

We had some penalty help moving the ball on that drive. The first two or three out of the half were pretty conservative.

Make sure you give him credit for the roughing the punter penalty also.

Who’s not seeing that?

I’m piggy backing off the OP talking about the players coming out in the 3rd sleepwalking. Ensminger slowed down the tempo with his calls.

Anyone who didn’t see that left at halftime along with half of the fans

I think fans too easily confuse "it didn't work" with conservative.

We opened the first half with an incomplete pass. Then we had a 6 yard run and another incomplete pass. This drive was kept alive by the roughing call. When you throw on first down and throw again on 3rd and 4, that's not conservative.

On the second drive, we had a holding penalty on our first play. I would hardly call running the ball on 1st and 20 from your own 10 conservative.

Our third drive we went 67 yards for a touchdown.

when the defense started out slow in the 3rd quarter.

I just watched this several times on DVR. We made a substitution but one of our players didn't leave the field, so we had 12 on the field. The two sideline coaches are jumping up and down waiving their hands trying to get the players attention but he never looks at them.

Someone tells O through the headset (almost certainly Aranda) to take a timeout. O is 4 feet away and does so.

After O gets the TO, he takes off his headset and puts a hand up to his left towards the approaching Aranda (who is off screen)- the kind of gesture that means "calm down" or "I got this". Then you see Aranda enter stage left giving one of those sideline coaches some food for thought, angrily. After Aranda is done with him, he follows O, who has already started addressing the team coming off the field. Aranda then goes apeshit on them.

Perhaps this is a side of Aranda that we rarely get to see. I liked it. And it looked to me that O knew it was coming.
