You bet! Most of the betting Lines have LSU as a 6.5 underdog, which means they think LSU's defense will hold Florida from scoring a TD and limiting them to two field goals. Now that is a compliment to LSU's defense.
Aside from the Line, LSU has a fine defense and running back. It is waiting for the quarterback situation to resolve favorably, which I fully expect. Lee is the main man, but Jefferson might be needed in some situations.
And don’t forget to look at things from Florida’s perspective. LSU is a talented, powerful, undefeated team. Florida is going to have their hands full and more. So don’t for a second think LSU can’t pull it out in the 4th quarter, again. It is what good teams do.
Oh yeah. Don't forget Lee's comeback in the Troy State game two years ago.

I am thinking a low-scoring game with the Tiger defense being the difference. In fact I am getting ready by checking out some Lingerie Football, lots of "scoring".

We forget the thinness between the talent levels within which LSU and Florida play. So games come down to turnovers, blown plays, penalties, coaching mishaps, and last but not least, breaks. After four turnovers/breaks, LSU needed a break in the Tennessee game during four long quarters, and there it was. The better team gutted (wanted) it out and won in the end.
It is human to nature to forget how hard it is to gut it out unless followed by a win. With a win, you easily recall your or the enormous effort in Ridley's touchdown against Tennessee and in LSU’s Jacob Hester's similar battle at the goal line with Ohio State's 2007/2008 All American linebacker in a pivotal situation. So remember that LSU has a tough gut.

Being realistic doesn't make you a nega-tiger. It just means you are not a tool. I hope LSU spanks Florida in front of the Swamp crowd, but i will be just as surprised as the Florida crowd.
LSU's defense should keep them in this game, but the offense will need to show dramatic improvement. Has anyone seen dramatic improvement since the UNC game? If so, point it out. I am desperate to be optimistic.

Just listening to ESPN radio and according to the guys on now, LSU doesn't stand a chance simply because they are one dimensional. Eh, will see. Would be a nice surprise to see the passing game explode tomorrow

The nega-posi idea is simple minded. What we on each side of these debates often forget is we see the other side but, because of human emotion, we fail to admit it. The nega's want LSU to win at least as "badly" as the posi's. Instead of feeling posi or nega, know you and LSU will gut it out, just as loyal fans and winners are called to do.

J. Lee changes everything. However, I think even Jefferson plays well tomorrow. LSU has the momentum going into this game. Lee has brought a spark and hope to this team. Florida can not be feeling good physically or mentally about getting crushed by Alabama last week.
