Anyone remember the commercial for WFMF in which Gym smashes Randy Rice with a door and yells, "Randy! He ain't here!"

Wow, TenMan, you are bringing back the memories. Hot Days of 102.5 Fm.. I believe the main trio back then was Danny Semore (sp?) , Randy Rice and Margaret Taylor. Definitely remember the days. Seems like they started around 1979,my senior year in high school or maybe a little later. But definitely remember the tracks around 1983, senior year at LSU. Thanks for the memories.

Here's a facebook page that includes pictures. Scroll down to the July 17, 2010 wall post and there is a link where you can listen to a reunion show. Great memories.

my dorky age 7, 8 or 9 self paid homage to Jim Nasium and would make my own version of Tiger Tracks using a tape-deck (mono speaker) and a 70s/80s Panasonic tape recorder.
I conducted the "interviews" and I recall responses of the era...
- "Its a hard habit to break"
- "Hard for me to Say I'm Sorry"
- "Ebony & Ivory"
- "Upside Down you're turning me"
- "Celebration"
- "Freeze Frame"
- "99 Luft Balloons" (no clue how I worked that in)
My version (copy of Jim's) had an intro and exit of "Eye of the Tiger". Man, if I could find those old cassettes!!

I remember sitting behind Danny in the PMAC which televised LSU's 20-10 victory over Alabama after 11 years of loses. He was very compassionate toward Andy Leopold, the sportscaster who had been fired by a Baton Rouge TV station. I enjoyed visiting with him and wish him the best. Seems like he went to a high school in Orange, Texas where Curley Hallman coached.
