answer to the question as to whether he had been contacted by Jayden since he signed with LSU?? He said he hasn’t heard from him AT ALL.

Both attended Arizona State and both are / were LSU QBs. Don’t you find it at least a little bit interesting that Jayden hasn’t reached out to Sam??

Sounds like JD doesn’t give a $hit about LSU. So, I don’t care that DJ is wearing #5.

I did think that was super odd of Jayden to not reach out to him. Now it makes sense - Jayden doesn't give a frick about LSU.

He came back in '24 and '25. He loved LSU but his camp has given him terrible advice. Letting your mother be involved like this was a very bad idea.

Its a bad look for him. But He did come back several times to LSU for what its worth. I can't blame an introvert for not wanting to reach out to a new QB.

All of this is true. I think people forget that JD is an introvert. If you pay attention to any of his public appearances, it seems obvious.

People are just mad and looking to find fault in everything he does. Still though, this will hurt his legacy and relationship with LSU. So stupid.

Yes it will

Can't unring the bell, but there were some things that LSU could have handled a little better as well.

There is not much fault here, but I think this will end up being a black mark in the court of public opinion, though probably a minor one, for both sides depending on which part of the public you talk to. By that I mean people who love JD first, people who love LSU first, people who hate LSU, people who hate JD, people who see or try to manipulate everything through the lens of race (racists, race-baiters, people who have racial politics fatigue, etc.).

The good thing is it will eventually die down, maybe even quickly.

This better not be made about race. I'll lose my shite. LSU doesn't have a policy and they need to adopt one and stick to it regardless of whether they will retire a number or not going forward. But that is the only part where they hold any blame and I disagree with Matt Moscona who is of the opinion this is LSU's fault. Jayden and his team are being spoiled, entitled, whiny, and petty.

You better start preparing; I do not see how it will not.

LSU doesn't have a policy

They do; it is up to the coaches whether they use a number or not. Only #20 is officially retired.

I don't, though I think there is blame on both sides. Anyone with a brain would know this would create a PR stir, at the very least. It was not intentional, but even if you think it was not a fumble on their part, it was at least a bobble.

But thats not an actual policy. Either issue the numbers or retire them. Plain and simple.

I agree there is blame on both sides. But Matt believe this was LSUs fault not Jayden. I said I don't believe this is LSU's fault. I believe there is some fault on both sides but I believe majority lies with Jayden and his mother's camp. Two things can be true:

1. LSU needs a better policy in-place not "hand-shake agreements."
2. This is entirely petty, whiny, entitled, and spoiled by JD and his camp.
