The SEC didn't want the entire NCAA Tourney to be focused on Will Wade and nothing else nor did LSU.

well now the narrative will be that we are playing with an interim because of all this mess.

it's not as if it will be discussed any less.

Yes, it's Alleva's job to protect LSU first. I thought he'd wait till Sunday to meet with Wade.

There has to be more to it for JA to think this was the best option at this time

Y’all give JA wayyyy too much credit. He’s blundered almost every major decision he’s had at LSU and Duke

What's the point? Who are you appeasing? The NCAA can't nail anyone who doesn't just give themselves up. If we hadn't cooperated and continued on like it was business as usual this would blow over. Dumb arse Alleva is too chicken shite to handle a little pressure from little men with columns on SI.com and USA Today. A good AD would've told them to shove it and gloated while cutting down the nets tomorrow night against Vandy. But we don't have a good AD, we have Alleva.

I mean, the phone conversation alone is enough to levy some sort of a sanction. The NCAA is the judge and jury.

But I do agree it could have blown over til at least a year or so from now. But by all accounts, this deal with feds is still ongoing.
