Being a baseball starter at LSU is worth more than playing in the minors. Man live life and enjoy it while your young. Not as many coed hanging around minor league parks. LSU is coed heaven.

Unless you go Top 10 rounds in the draft, chances are your signing bonus will not exceed $100k (and if you're drafted much lower than Top 10 rounds, chances are your signing bonus will completely suck)...which if I have another year of college ahead of me, with a chance to get degree, I'm opting for that. Can ALWAYS sign for meh money the next year for MLB and get your shot then.
Under new CBA teams are not allowed to exceed $100k bonuses for worse than Top 10 round picks unless they have room for it after their Top 10 round pick money is allotted. Teams have total pools of money they are allowed to spend on Top 10 round picks, whatever is leftover they can apply to draft picks outside the Top rounds...so unless they just really fail to sign a few Top 10 round picks, you money after Top 10 rounds diminishes greatly. Heck from round 7ish to 10 your signing bonus slot is $125k-$200k. Not exactly life changing money.

Which is exactly why you saw a number of seniors get drafted in the 5-10 round range last year. They signed them for very little and used the leftovers for players outside the top 10 rounds.
