Just sit the young man down and say. This is not the year anyone was expecting. There were 5 freshmen and a sophomore at skill positions for most of the night against the number 1 team in the nation. There were plenty of positive flashes they just need to grow together. His draft stock will not be hurt, and the nation already knows how talented he is. To really know a great day you have to have some bad ones too, or else a day is just a day.

Anyone with a brain could’ve seen this as a possibility. An elite talent who I targeted as an afterthought on a crappy team with huge internal problems.
Sure the defense is a dumpster fire but the offense looks stale and regressing.
He’s not used to getting humiliated and we haven’t reached bottom.
