Just a guess but... LSU has better talent at every position on the field. How many UW players start for LSU…maybe KP, ASJ and Kasen…maybe. Most other players on our team don’t make their 2-deeps. by Snostrebla on Sep 9, 2012 8:54 AM PDT up reply

Personally I liked:

The LSU offense knocked our LB, DE’s, Safeties around like they were pin balls while their defense manhandled us. We were COMPLETELY outclassed

Earth to Washington fans:

1. The last time the Huskies played LSU, it wwas in Seattle. Home versus road makes a difference, especially when the road is an atmposphere you are not accustomed to

2. Your QB back then was Jake Locker. He is now a starter in the NFL. That makes a huge difference.

They expect to be better than they are, can't blame them.

They've had a ton of injuries though.

The rants meltdowns when we win by 40 are worse than that.

I think the meltdowns are worse when losing a close game than anything.

There post sound like a bunch of fairly classy people accepting reality. I will give them that, much more realistic ideas about their team and where it should be than the rant. We as LSU fanbase can be proud of a bunch of things but the rant... full of people wanting perfections or better. People here were calling for Les Miles to be fired most of last year even though we were on our way to the best regular season in LSU history.

Doesn't mean they are happy about how things are. Washington has a proud football history. They've fallen a bit behind in the facilities race lately, but they are working to catch up. The new Pac 12 tv money will help them in that regard.

Not convinced Sark is the answer up there, though.

Yeah my ref. to reality was in regards to talent level and why they lost. The rant would be coming up with all kinds of bogus reasons and excuses.

UW had big setbacks with injuries and playing LSU didn't help THAT situation much.

Nope. The Huskies were even more banged up when they left. Wish them the best of luck the rest of the way though. They were good fans.

The rant has bigger meltdowns when we only win by 14. That is not anywhere close to a rant-sized meltdown.

Sark is on record as saying – when we played LSU in 2009; he looked at their sidelines, then he looked at ours and he “knew” we were overmatched. Result; 31-23 LSU. Three years later, Sark says; our sideline now “looks” as good as LSU’s – result 41-3 LSU.

Maybe it’s time for Sark to get his eyes checked or he is blowing smoke up my @$$. Personally, I think it’s smoke.

That's funny stuff right there!

Every team has meltdowns. People just think it's confined to the Rant because they never venture outside of a 200 mile radius of Baton Rouge.

Many of their fans honestly thought they had a chance to win, and pretty much all of them thought they would at least put points on the board.

Here is a list of teams that LSU beat by 38 points or more last season:

Northwestern State
Ole Miss

Great company to be in, isn’t it.

I'd say Sark, for the first time up here, is feeling his seat warming up. It's his fourth year, and I think the fans up here are disappointed he hasn't built up more depth, and therefore be in a better position to handle the injury problem. Maybe a few fans were hoping for a victory, but none of the ones I know really expected a victory. I think UW fans hoped for a good showing as an indication of progress and didn't get it. UW football is at the stage LSU was in the 90s.
