These conferences are trying to get everyone onboard to avoid looking greedy.

If even one person dies because of their decision to play then their imagine is tarnished for a long time.

No one wants to be known as the conference that chose money over safety.

So they’re looking around and trying to get the majority of the conferences onboard to avoid looking greedy.

Distancing yourself from all responsibilities is not leadership which these people are supposed to be. It’s cowardice and you are just kicking the can down the road for someone else to take the blame.

Except in this case both money and safety can be accomplished. A place to stay, free food (and not just any food really healthy and specifically designed for you food), free health care at a moments notice, and testing will all be right there on campus for the players. That is beside the fact that this virus does not effect 18-22 year olds in great physical condition a lot. Yes it will effect some people I get that but that’s the exception not the rule.
