Those youtube videos showing the movement on his 2-seam fastball are ridiculous. There honestly no way to hit that pitch with that much movement.

Huge fan of Alex and great to hear he's having success. He was an alpha competitor here.

His win vs Oregon St in '17 was one of my favorites. He put a dent in their psyche (and Hess and Gilbert finished 'em off).

IMO, he was the best freshman pitcher we've had.

You may be right. Laxton gets bonus points for his '93 CWS performance. He was 12-1 in '93. Alex was 12-0 in '15. Both great freshman seasons.
