I have never heard so much whining and bitching about the winningest coach in our school history. Unbelievable. I can't wait to hear what you all have to say about our next coach when Miles go to Michigan in a couple of years because he can't stand our fanbase anymore.

I never did like his two quaterback system and running back by committee. When you have a guy thats been on a role you dont interupt that by pulling him and inserting someone else in the game to me that disrupts the flow of the game. I guess in the running back position sometimes im ok with it but quaterback position is not good.

Richbad, if Miles had not rotated qb's last year, would we have won the SEC champ game? Probably not. Running backs get hurt. If you ride 1 horse, whats going to happen when he goes down? I like how he rotates players because when one gets hurt (Flynn), the other can step in and get the job done!!!!!!

Nothing. The man brought LSU a championship, and we are going through a rebuilding process. We're fricking 7-3 people, it's not like the bottom has fallen out! The chances of winning it all every year are highly improbable. In fact, if Miles loses every game for the rest of the year his win percentage will still beat the previous coach's win percentage.
Seriously, these kids give their blood, sweat, and tears for the fans and the school in exchange for a scholarship and a shot at glory.
I would LOVE to see any of you armchair quarterbacks work on the scout team and get smoked by ricky jean-francois and chad jones as a tackling dummy to understand what these kids go through.
I am gonna cheer my arse off on Sunday for these kids, especially those whose last game it is in Tiger stadium. They've given me some great memories the last 4 years. I'm gonna get a little emotional. I hope I lose my voice. Who is with me?

On the player positioning and playcalling I agree with some of the other comments that bother me the most about Miles:
-Mitch fricking Joseph on 4th and short against Bama...really? When CS has been knocking people down all day. Is that the play call you want in that down and distance?
-Keith Zinger for a TD against Kentucky where the ball has to be thrown high and wide? Really? You want a 260 pound tight end with hands of stone to make that catch? We lose the KY game because of that call.
-Jarrett Mitchell in at WR over the other players we have in the Troy game when it's 3rd down and the game is on the line... Really? He has hardly caught a pass all year long and he's a baseball player. Is that really who you want to get the ball to in 3rd and long when the game is on the line?
-Too much Danny McCray, need I say more.
-Too much Darry Beckwith, when he's not performing and Ryan Baker is sitting there waiting to knock someone's head off.
-Not enough plays to Dickson, our money receiver. WE could have scored 2 TD's with Dickson against Bama and Troy with that fake right throw left play, and they didn't even use it.
-Not getting in players faces when they dance out on the field after whiffing on a damn tackle and just trying to knock someone out, meanwhile the RB just got 10 yards on you (Harry Coleman is the worst about this).
I could go on but I won't.

quote:well the thread is about WHAT DON'T YOU LIKE ABOUT MILES, nimrod. The man is not perfect, no one is, and it's not beyond the pale for a fan to criticize the team or the coach, as long as it's done in a constructive way.

Miles has been a great coach but it's perfectly acceptable to point out where he can improve as well.

I like Miles and his coaching, but it seems at times that the more talented players don't play. Don't know if it's because they don't know the plays or he doesn't trust them or if it's all on the position coaches, but why didn't Charles Scott play more last year and I can't beleive that McCray is better than Chad Jones and why isn't Baker getting more PT?
Not a huge gripe as I don't attend practice or have any say in the matter, but it confuses me sometimes is all.

It's amazing. You guys could find a fault in anything, whether it be the taj mahal or a supermodel.

I absolutely love when rant posters believe that they know more about the abilities of LSU players than the LSU coaching staff, presumably because they enjoy masturbating to high school football player highlight videos.
NOTE TO YOU IDIOTS: Just because a HIGH SCHOOL kid was highly recruited doesn't mean they will be INSTANTLY AWESOME. Try to remember that high school studs usually are leaps and bounds above their teammates and opponents, and this does NOT translate into ability at the college level.
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, all the people clamoring for position changes need to just shut the frick up -- you don't know shite.

-It bothers me when he doesn't shut out the other team and hold them to no first downs.
-It bothers me that we don't score TD's everytime we get the ball and score at least 80 points a game and never punt.
-It bothers me that we are 41-9 and not 50- 0. Geez, a winning percentage of 82% is horrible.
-It bothers me that Coach Miles let it be 45 degrees and cold last Saturday, but I stayed anyway to watch a great comeback.
-It bothers me that Coach Miles is a "Damn Strong Coach" of a "Damn Strong Football Team".
-And it still bothers me that LSU beat Ohio State for the national championship for LSU's second BCS Championship in five years.
Damn, I am really bothered.

I hate it when he goes for it on 4th down

I wonder if that killer instinct is evident in the locker room. I could care less if it is evident in the press. In fact, I would rather that it not be.
