The previous neutral site games were drivable distances from BR and the band traveled by bus. Obviously, they won't take a bus to Wisconsin, and with the recent developments, I doubt that the School of Music will pay to fly Tiger Band to Green Bay.

I don't think there was ever any intention of sending the full band to Wisconsin. I assumed they'd go to Auburn this season.
I agree......However, they have been sending the whole band to one of the Mississippi schools recently because of $$. Now that the school of music/Todd Queen/Damon Talley are calling the shots, who knows if the whole band will ever travel again during the regular season.

Since we play both Mississippi schools in BR this season, the only other possible destination would seem to be Auburn. The full band did go to Florida one year, but that was back during the Saban era. I'm inclined to agree with you in that if Todd Queen has his way, the full band will not travel to any more road SEC games. By the way, who the hell is Damon Talley anyway?

Damon S. Talley serves as Manship Director of Bands at Louisiana State University School of Music, where he oversees all aspects of the Band Department. Talley earned a master of music degree in Wind Conducting from the University of Michigan and the doctor of musical arts degree in Wind Conducting from The University of Texas.

if it costs Jacksonville State $120,000 to bring their traveling band here for an away game
Does that mean the $120,000 lost to the local economy is a good business decision??
If the band doesn't come, LSU get 425 tickets back to sell. But who wants those tickets for that useless game ??
The more I think about , the less I understand the band ban move..

Am I reading this right???? The guy LSU hired to "oversee" the Golden Band has NEVER been the director of a college marching band? (Shenandoah does not have a marching band)
Who in the hell are these people? Would/should we hire a head football coach who has never been a football coach?

From another thread.....
quote:
1. LSU bans opposing bands from playing at halftime in TS.
2. Other schools ban TGBFTL from their field in retaliation.
3. F*King/Alleva and co. save a gazillion bucks by not sending the full band to away games; get to blame it on the other schools.
4. Profit.
