The only question is whether or not 1/9/12 would've still happened with Lee and JJ, and ultimately miles would've still been broken.
On the subject of Lee, does he get so much sympathy simply because he was left out of the 1/9/12 game? The guy was terrible. You saw what he did in the 9-6 game. If not for JJ, we wouldn't have scored at all. He threw almost every pass moving backward because he was afraid to get hit. He's the only QB I've ever seen throw like that.

It wasn't all Jefferson man. Miles made no damn adjustments at halftime and continued to pound the damn ball like the idiot he was which is why he's gone now. Play calling was atrocious like it always has been. Should have been gone.

The OP is right. The dismissal of RP set the stage for JL to have to play when he wasn't ready. Pick 6 ruined Les on the passing game.

Nah. While I still believe Okie deserved a shot at LSU, it's almost silly to think the football team was in so much anguish over the death of a couple women's basketball coaches.

Also, if RP stays for 2008 and 2009, I think LSU beats Bama both those years and Bama maybe doesn't win that 2009 NC. Those things alone would've been tremendous for Les and LSU.

RP was a smooth operator. Hated to see that guy screw up and get kicked off the team. Had a pretty throw and touch. Dude was gifted, but just a frick up.

I walked out of the Dome that night and 1st thing I said was that I was so happy I didn't ever have to watch JJ play QB again...that was until we had the next 2 JJ'S...but then something good happened on Sunday...
